Indian automobile industry was started by Hindustan motors and the Fiat….not Tata or the Maruti.

    • Hi Karan,
Wait for the second part, none of the immortal cars is missed. It is 100% true that the Hindustan Ambassador and Fiat Padmini were the cars which started the automobile industry in India. Stay tuned!

  2. Indian automobile industry was started by Tatas also. You are not knowing that Fiat was in India with a joint venture of Tata and Premier Automobiles. Afterwards Tatas gave gave up the ownership to Premier Automobiles.

    • Hi Mahendra,
Premier Automobile Ltd. was an independent automaker. In 1964, Premier got the license for Fiat 1100D which was later named Premier Padmini. The joint venture between Tata Motors and Fiat was started way ahead in the late 2000s.
