10 Upcoming Cars In 2021 That Are Worth Your Wait!

There are a host of cars arriving in the Indian car showrooms in the year 2021. Here’s a small list of some of those upcoming cars in 2021 that might just be worth it for you.

With the year 2020 coming to a final end, we can finally look forward to the year 2021, with our gleamy automotive enthusiast like eyes, awaiting some amazing cars.

While the list of vehicles arriving the Indian showrooms might be long and some of them might be unconfirmed, we show you ten of those cars which are scheduled to disrupt the Indian automotive industry with their presence.

  1. Tata Altroz EV

    Tata surely knows how to play its cards right. How to make an already amazing hatchback more attractive? Make it future-ready by launching an EV version of it.

    Tata is expected to launch the Altroz EV in July 2021. However, a final announcement remains to be done, the automotive enthusiasts are already excited to Altroz EV first hand. It is expected to get its power from the 30kWh lithium-ion battery pack that does duty in the Nexon EV. It is expected to have an estimated range of 350 kilometres.

    While on the inside, all the necessary bells and whistles are to be provided adequately. It was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and has been one of the most awaited upcoming cars of 2021, since then.

    A world-renowned hot hatch is coming to India. Do we need to say more?

    The Ford Focus is a hot hatchback which is a part of Ford’s global lineup around the world. It is powered by a range of different powertrains.

    The first one is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost unit, generating 125 PS. This is joined by a 1.5-litre EcoBlue at 120 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. Adding to the list is a 2.0-litre diesel which generates 150 PS of power and 370 Nm of peak torque.

    With a host of powertrain options and a host of other features, the Focus is surely worth the wait in 2021.

  3. Honda City Hybrid

    Wasn’t the name above exciting enough? Honda is set to launch the hybrid version of the City in 2021. The City 2021 is expected to have more aggressive design elements and might be branded as City RS in the Indian car bazaar.

    The Honda City Hybrid will come equipped with Honda’s Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) hybrid system consisting of an electric motor generating 108 PS/ 253 Nm of torque. It will be joined by a 1.5L Atkinson-cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 98PS.

    As claimed by Honda, the City Hybrid will have an excellent fuel efficiency of 27.8 kmpl. A recipe for success for the Indian markets?

  4. Next-Gen Skoda Rapid

    The current Skoda Rapid is being replaced by the new-gen Skoda Rapid. It is expected to be developed on the highly localised MQB AO IN platform.

    It is also been reported that the new model might be called the Skoda Slavia. The new model will take on the likes of the Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and the Honda City.

  5. Mahindra XUV 500

     The Mahindra XUV 500 is expected to arrive in early 2021. The XUV has made a name for itself and Mahindra in the Indian markets. The upcoming XUV 500 will be sporting a new monocoque chassis.

    According to the latest spy pictures, the new XUV 500 shows sharper pair of headlamps. redesigned six-piece vertical slats and an overall more muscular look, giving it a more dominating road presence.

    A 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine is expected to produce 180 bhp, whereas the Stallion petrol engine is expected to produce 190 hp. However, most of the details are yet to be confirmed.

     The Tata Gravitas has had many teasers for the Indian consumers as of now. Recently, the 7 seater to-be-launched SUV was spotted without a camouflage.

    While on the outside, the Tata Gravitas supposedly has a similar design as to that of the Harrier, there are some minor changes that are expected in the car. It is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque.

    As per some assumptions, it is expected that the Gravitas will be priced at a ₹1 lakh premium over the Harrier.

  7. Ford Ranger Raptor

    Another hot car coming from the Ford stable is the Ford Ranger Raptor. The Ranger Raptor is the pickup version of the Everest SUV. The Ranger Raptor is optimised for high-speed adventurous off-roading.

    The Raptor generates its power from a 2.0-litre, 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine generating a massive 213 PS of power along with 500 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

    It is expected to be priced at around ₹65-70 lakhs in the country. All the necessary hype ensured it makes it to our much-awaited upcoming cars of 2021.

  8. Next-Gen Skoda Octavia

    Skoda has officially announced the Octavia, slated to be launched in early 2021. The new model will see a significant change in design elements. Moreover, the next-gen Skoda Octavia is 19 mm longer and 15 mm wider.

    The Skoda Octavia will get its power from a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine producing 147bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. The top-spec model is expected to receive the 190PS, 2.0L petrol engine. The engines on offer are expected to be mated with a 7 speed DSG.

  9. Tata HBX

     The Tata HBX or Hornbill is expected to enter the entry-level SUV market in style. The HBX is pitted against Mahindra’s KUV100.

    Showcased initially at the Auto Expo 2020, the compact SUV was surely able to grab some eyeballs. it is expected to be positioned at a competitive price range of ₹5 lakhs, hence making it a car difficult to ignore.

    Inside the bonnet, will be a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine which does duty in the Altroz and the Tiago. It will generate 86 PS of power along with 113 Nm of torque, mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. There will also be an optional 5-speed automatic option available.

  10. Maruti Suzuki Alto 800

    Lastly, undoubtedly one of the most popular cars in India is going to get a makeover. It had to be there in our list of upcoming cars of 2021 for sure.

    The new Alto 800 is expected to be developed on the Heartec-K platform as used in the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. Powered by a 796 cc, 3 cylinder naturally aspirated engine, it will produce 48 PS of power and 69 Nm of torque.

With the year 2020, being a year full of surprises and some amazing launches, the year 2021 has some big shoes to fill.

While there are some exciting vehicles that are to be launched in the upcoming year 2021, let’s hope they do an amazing job.
