There are lots of upcoming cars in India which are going to launch soon. The Indian automotive market is expected to get some new entrants. Auto Expo 2020 saw some amazing launches and unveilings. These unveilings and launches are all set to make their way on the Indian roads.

While there are a plethora of vehicles lined up to enter the car bazaar, we bring you the top ones. Here are some of the much-hyped and sought after vehicles that you should look out for. The cars mentioned below are the ones which enter the market before April 2020 i.e. the deadline for BS6 conversion.

  1. Renault Duster

    Renault’s compact SUV, the Duster is going to launch soon. The car is set to get a more powerful engine with necessary BS6 upgrades. The mid-size SUV will get a turbocharged 1.3-litre petrol engine generating 156 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. After shelving the diesel model, Renault looks up to the petrol turbocharged version to fill the gap.

    Expected Price: ₹8 lakhs to ₹10 lakhs
    Engine: 250 Nm / 156 bhp

  2. Skoda Rapid TSI

    Come this March, the Skoda Rapid is going to get more powerful. Skida is planning to equip the C segment sedan with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine for the Indian markets. The BS6 compliant engine will churn out a good 200 Nm of torque.

    Skoda might not go on to offer the Rapid with a diesel option considering the fact that it is not BS6 compliant.

    Expected Price: ₹8.82 lakhs onwards
    Engine: 200 Nm / 115 PS

  3. Hyundai Creta

    This is going to be the show-stopper for Hyundai. The much-awaited facelifted Creta is going to make its presence felt for sure. Hyundai’s Creta is slated for a March 2020 launch. The South Korean carmaker seems bullish about the car considering the talk around the auto town.

    Expected Price: ₹10 to ₹17 lakhs
    Engine: 242 Nm / 140 PS

  4. Honda City

    Honda’s flagship sedan, the Honda City is set to enthral the consumers once again. The car is getting a makeover inside out. Honda City will be coming with a diesel BS6 compliant engine and will rival the likes of the Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and the Skoda Rapid.

    Honda might also offer an upgraded RS variant and a mild-hybrid addition to its engine. While Honda has already updated its petrol engine, the diesel engine is yet to get a BS6 upgrade.

    Expected price: ₹10.51 lakhs
    Engine: 145 Nm / 117 bhp

  5. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross

    The premium crossover from Maruti is coming in a petrol variant now. After a long wait, Maruti has listened to the petrolheads and brought the petrol variant for the Indian market.

    Maruti Suzuki has decided to rest the diesel variant of the car considering the BS6 emission norms. The upcoming petrol variant will be powered by the same 1.5-litre powering the Vitara Brezza. While the Brezza has received a makeover inside-out, the upgrades on the S Cross have bee limited under the bonnet.

    The price of the petrol S-Cross is expected to get lower considering the petrol engine.

  6. Hyundai Tucson Facelift

    The premium offering by Hyundai, Tucson is getting a facelift. The Hyundai Tucson facelift is launching in the Indian markets in March 2020. The updated version of the car gets Hyundai’s signature cascading grille, a new bumper and sharper headlamps.

    While the car doesn’t get any major updates in the engine arena, it does get a BS6 upgrade. The car’s diesel and petrol variants will be offered with BS6 compliant specs.

    Expected Price: ₹20 lakh onwards
    Engine: 150 hp / 192 Nm (petrol) | 182 hp / 400 Nm (diesel)

  7. Toyota Fortuner

    After launching the BS6 compliant version of the Innova Crysta, the Fortuner is set to get an upgrade. The rugged SUV will be coming with the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel and 2.7-litre petrol engines. Features on the car tend to remain the same inside out.

    While the engine output is expected to remain the same, the effect on the fuel efficiency of the Fortuner is yet to be seen. The engine upgrade can lead to the car being costlier by up to ₹ 1,00,000.

    Expected price: ₹30 lakh onwards

  8. Hyundai Verna

    The Hyundai Verna has become better, meaner and sharper. Although the car wasn’t unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, the new Verna is set for an official launch in March. The car gets a new set of headlamps and the India spec version might look similar to the Russian spec Solaris.

    While the car gave Auto Expo 2020 a miss, it has been spotted testing on the Indian roads. There’ve been strong speculations that the car will make its entry in March 2020. Under the hood, the car will be getting the same engine as in the Kia Seltos.

  9. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

    The Vitara Brezza is coming with a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine. The car gets a makeover inside-out. The exterior gets a makeover. The Vitara Brezza gets new LED DRLs. The indicators on the new Vitara Brezza are now placed above the headlamps, and faux skid plates are present.

    On the inside, the car will get an upgraded SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. with the hype around the vehicle, it is undoubtedly one of the most sought after upcoming cars in India.

  10. Maruti Suzuki Ignis

    After its unveiling at the Auto Expo 2020, Maruti will be bringing the car to the Indian markets. The Maruti Ignis is sold across the country through its Nexa dealerships. The entry-level Maruti Ignis is now BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) compliant. The revised version gets an S-Presso like front grille and a few touch-ups on the bumper. However, the rear and side profile remains the same.

    The French carmaker launched the AMT version of it’s MPV. The car, soon after its launch made itself the best selling vehicle of its segment. The engine in the car remains the same and receives a BS6 upgrade. The vehicle will launch somewhere around March 2020.
