Datsun has finally launched the 2020 iteration of the RediGo budget hatchback. The RediGo now gets a BS6 Compliant 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The car is offered in a total of 7 variants with two engine and gearbox options. The price for the base variant starts at Rs. 2.83 lakhs for the RediGo 0.8 D all the way upto Rs. 4.77 lakhs for the RediGo 1.0 T (O) AMT. Prices mentioned are ex-showroom, pan-India.

2020 Datsun RediGo Exterior
The new RediGo Facelift has been advertised with the tagline “Time To Go Bold” and indeed it does get some very bold features. Take the from facade for example with the chrome-finish honeycomb front grille, humungous L-shaped LED DRLs, new bumper, LED tail lamps. The new RediGo gets a lot of updates compared to the previous gen.

2020 Datsun RediGo Interior
On the inside, the 2020 Datsun RediGo packs some great features including dual-tone dashboard and trim panels, internally adjustable ORVMs, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The infotainment system also doubles up as the reverse parking camera screen. Yes, the RediGo gets a reverse parking camera with non-adaptive guide lines.
The 2020 Datsun RediGo also claims to have the best-in-class leg space for the occupants.
2020 Datsun RediGo Engine & Gearbox
The New Datsun RediGo is gets two BS6 Compliant Engine Options;
- an 800cc naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 52bhp and 72nm of torque delivered via a 5-speed manual gearbox. No AMT option on this engine
- The other is a 1000cc naturally aspirated petrol good for 68bhp and 91nm of torque. This engine gets a 5-speed manual and an AMT options.
Fuel efficiency figures are 20.71kmpl for the 800cc, 21.7kmpl for the 1000cc (manual) and 22kmpl for the 1000c (AMT).
New Datsun RediGo Safety Features
Let’s talk safety. The New Datsun RediGo adheres to crash test and pedestrian safety norms. Datsun claims that the 2020 RediGo chassis is a Strong Crash-Resistant Body Shell. The car also gets dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder and a reverse parking camera.
2020 Datsun RediGo Variants & Prices
The base variant of the new Datsun RediGo is priced at Rs. 2.83 lakhs while the top-spec model costs Rs. 4.77 lakhs. An interesting point to note here is that the Facelifted RediGo is priced just 3,000 more than the previous-generation model. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, pan-India.
