Hyundai surely understands that the Chinese and Indian’s have different tastes, be it in terms of food, culture or cars. This can be the reason why Hyundai is rigorously working on the design of the 2020 Hyundai Creta or the ix25 before launching it in the country. The ix25 was recently launched in China and is all set to debut in the Indian market as the second-gen Hyundai Creta.

Although, Since its launch in 2015, the Creta has been selling like hot-cakes in its segment. Until 2018, Hyundai has constantly sold around 10K Cretas per month. The 2020 Hyundai Creta will be a first-generation upgrade for the Creta, Hyundai had earlier introduced a facelifted version back in 2017, which helped the Creta to stay on top of the charts in its highly competitive segment.

- As reported by GoMechanic earlier that under the hood the 2020 Hyundai Creta will feature with 3 engine options; 1.5 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine with 115 bhp and 144 nm torque, 1.4 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 140 bhp and 242 nm torque. and a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine will churn 115 bhp and 250 nm torque.
- Spyshots have confirmed that the 2020 Hyundai Creta will lose its honeycomb mesh grille and will adopt a chequered pattern grille. While other noticeable upgrades include new alloys and dual headlamps.
- The all-new Creta will be initially launched as a 5-seater SUV, but rumours suggest that Hyundai is also planning to come out with a 7-seater variant sometime in the nearing future.
- The 2020 Creta will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto-Expo and is expected to have a price tag between ₹ 10-15 lakhs and will rival the KIA Seltos, MG Hector, and Tata Harrier.
