Seems like hiking the prices is the new trend. In the previous weeks, a dozen vehicles experienced an increase in their ex-showroom prices. Creta was the last car to get the hike from the Hyundai family. Now, the 2020 Hyundai Verna also joins the group.
On the contrary, to compensate, Hyundai has introduced a new base E Variant of its potent sedan, ‘Verna’. That said, it was the S variant that sat on the bottom of this c-segment sedan. Let’s have a look at what the new variant offers.
What 2020 Hyundai Verna E Variant has on tap?
Hyundai lately introduced a new base ‘E’ variant in the new facelifted Verna line-up. This new variant is sadly offered only with a petrol engine. Talking about the engine, the motor is 1.5-litre naturally aspirated that churns 115ps of max power and 144 Nm of peak torque. The engine powers the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission with no option of an automatic for this variant.
Sadly, you have to rely on the aftermarket stereo to keep you entertained as this variant is deprived of any infotainment system, all you get is a two din slot.
Safety Features
This is where Hyundai has not compromised a bit. The base variant sure gets no infotainment system but it gets all the latest safety tech that one needs. Long story short, the ‘E’ variant gets all the features the BNVSAP norms suggest.

It is the safety we are talking about.
