The 2020 Renault Duster was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020. Renault has now revealed the prices for the all-new BS6 compliant duster. The updated SUV will be available in 3 variants. This time, there will be no diesel engine powering the car. Only the petrol variant of the duster goes BS6 and the automaker has not given any update on rolling out the automatic version as well.
The 2020 Renault Duster comes with a starting price tag of Rs.8.49 Lakhs. The entry-level RXE variant has got a pretty good price point whereas the mid-level variant (RXS) comes at a price of Rs.9.29 Lakhs. The fully loaded top model of the SUV comes at a price of Rs. 9.99 Lakhs.
There has been no official announcement about the engine that will power the new 2020 Renault Duster. a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine currently powers the SUV and we believe that this will be replaced by a 1.3-litre turbocharged motor when the update will kick in. Reports also suggest that Renault will release the SUV in automatic variants and with an engine that will not be turbocharged.
We can expect the turbo variant of the 2020 Renault Duster to arrive in India with 6-speed manual and an optional CVT. Talking about the design elements, the Duster received as facelift in 2019 and the automaker has decided to skip any change for now. The new Duster has got projector headlamps along with DRLs and the tail lamps are also LED this time. We see more flesh on the bumpers this time which add on to the look of the car.
Renault is also working on the Caotur facelift for India. Talking about the 2020 Renault Duster, there is no confirmation about the launch. If we compare this SUV to the Kia Seltos and the Hyundai Creta, it will be around 43bhp and 18bhp more powerful respectively. The price that it comes for will surely be a deal to go for!
