On one side there are the BS6 norms and on the other side the Coronavirus pandemic, both have somewhat taken down the Indian automotive industry. Nevertheless, The automotive manufacturers are still working hard to make it work, including Nissan. The company just teased the photographs of ‘2021 X-Trail’ Nissan’s new SUV.
The car launch is scheduled for something later this year. The new X-trail gets a lot more features than before. This includes a redesigned interior as well as exterior. Let’s have a look at what the car might offer.

In the pictures leaked by the company, it is evident that the company has worked hard to provide the customers with the best of what they pay. Both the interior and the exterior have significant changes.
Exterior Design Cues
By the Photographs, it is clear that the SUV is not gonna bow in front of its rivals.
- This time around the car gets different front and the rear. For starters in the front, it gets a new large grille with Nissan’s new scheme. The new design scheme was showed-off to the public via the recently launched Nissan Juke.
- Besides, the X-trail gets the split headlights with DRL’s and turn indicators up top with the headlights below them. Well, this is part is the increasing trend with car manufacturers nowadays.
- The car also gets fake skid plates at the bottom of the bumper with integrated fog lights on its sides.
- At the rear, the car gets some subtle changes with smart wrap-around taillights and a spoiler to add elegance to the car.
Interior Design Cues and Features
Unlike the exterior, there is a complete overhauling done on the inside.
- To begin with, this Nissan gets an all-new dashboard with added features. Except for the steering wheel rest, everything is new. The SUV gets a new touch-screen infotainment system with Android Auto and AppleCar Play for connectivity. Also, the car comes with connected car tech for added safety and convenience.
- The 2021 X-trail also features an e-handbrake. The car also boasts of a wireless charger on the inside.
- Moving to the instrument cluster, this time it’s an all-digital cluster with many features of its own.
- There is also an option of a panoramic-sunroof for that added plush appeal.

Though the photos were leaked by the company, there is no information about the powertrain and transmission options. But we can expect the car to arrive with a petrol engine, diesel engine as well as a hybrid power train. It’s not a long wait that the car will arrive soon and will majorly compete against the likes of Volkswagen Tiguan All-space.
