2021 Volkswagen Polo LEAKED Ahead of Tomorrow’s World Debut

This comes in with less than 24hr from its world debut. The images of the next-gen Polo have surfaced on the internet revealing almost everything about the new hatchback.

So without wasting any time let’s get into the specifications!

  • On the visual front, we’ll get to see a brand re-designed set of bi-LED headlamps, a re-worked VW logo, illuminating LED strip on the front bumper, a redesigned front bumper that looks quite similar to the VW Golf.
  • The front bumper also accommodates an applique connecting the air intake and the auxiliary headlamps. That’s not all, we will also get to see new alloy wheels.
  • On the rear, we get to see a bigger and re-designed set of taillamps and a bigger logo with the car name placed beneath it.

  • Coming on the inside, The 2021 Volkswagen Polo receives upholstery, an updated VW multimedia centre, three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel and what looks to be automatic climate control.

  • Additional features on the inside include illuminating side panels, ambient lighting and digital instrument cluster.

Is there any change on the mechanical front as well?

  • As of now, there has been no news about the mechanical specification of the new polo
  • Although it features a 1.0-litre EVO engine and a 1.0-litre TSI with a three-cylinder engine mated to manual and dual-clutch DSG gearboxes.
  • While the Indian variant gets a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

When will it Launch?

  • Well, that’s a question only the marketing team at Volkswagen know. However, going by the latest media reports the German’s plan to introduce the new Polo in India by 2023.
  • Upon its launch, the new Polo will have to lock its horns against the Hyundai i10 Nios and the Tata Altroz.
