However, the 2022 Maruti Baleno will be getting the same 1.2-L, Inline-4 Cylinder, Dual Jet, Naturally Aspirated, DOHC Petrol engine, which serves its duty in the new Maruti Swift. This engine is capable of producing 89 bhp of power @6000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque @4400 rpm. The car will be getting the 5-speed manual transmission along with a 5-speed AMT gearbox which is a replacement for the old CVT gearbox. The outgoing model used to come with the CVT gearbox.
