2022 Maruti Baleno Variant-Wise Features Explained

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been slaying in its segment and leading forever. This premium hatchback has been among the hot-selling stuff, and this generation update was long-awaited. Now that it’s here, we are looking out for the variants & pricing.

While the official pricing is still awaited; let’s look at the variant-wise features leaked online, starting with the base variant:

  • Baleno Sigma

    We have the Baleno Sigma on our list, beginning with the base variant. The base variant has halogen projector headlamps up front with the signature Nexa taillights at the rear. In addition to that, there is also a black spoiler with body-coloured bumpers. It also gets automatic climate control with a MID for the instrument cluster with the speedometer & tachometer.

    The notable features for the Baleno will be the automatic climate control, rear defogger, reverse parking camera, steering mounted controls and powered ORVMs. The ORVMS are also powered, electrically controlled, and are given a contrasting black colour.

    Safety-wise it has the Nexa-safety shield with a reverse parking camera & rear parking sensors. It also comes with seatbelts alerts for both the front passenger along with dual airbags & a rear defogger. But the base variant is only available with the manual transmission & steel wheels.

  • Baleno Delta

    Moving up along the list, we have the Baleno Delta. in addition to the existing steering mounted controls, the users will also get Android Auto & apple car play along with the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Styling-wise it gets body-coloured door handles and ORVMs along with an additional chrome-finished front grille.

    Interior wise, it gets a rear-parcel tray with a 4-speaker layout. It comes with phone-based navigation that Drivers can use after connecting their device to the infotainment system. It is also available with the new AMT transmission and ESP & hill start assist. These two features are only available with the AMT transmission.

  • Baleno Zeta

    Moving through the list, the following variant Baleno Zeta gets significantly more loaded than the previous two. It stands on newly painted alloy wheels and has chrome handles. It gets LED projector headlamps along with a rear washer wiper. It also has Follow-Me home functionality with the headlights.

    The interior features include two active tweeters and a fully coloured MID with Amazon Alexa & supported voice commands. It gets keyless entry with a start-stop button, rear aircon vents & rear adjustable headrests.

    The front footwells are also lighted up with lamps and telescopic steering. Maruti Suzuki has also focused on safety with two side thorax airbags and two curtain airbags except for the dual front airbags.

  • Baleno Alpha

    Coming to the fully-loaded variant, at last, we have the Baleno Alpha. This variant is loaded with every feature, such as the 360-degree camera Maruti showed off before the launch. It stands on 16-inch dual-tone machine cut alloy wheels with LED foglamps and auto-folding ORVMs.

    It has a surround sound system from Arkamys and auto-dimming IRVM with UV-cut glass and cruise control. It gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen inside the cabin.
    It is also equipped with a heads-up display for the driver with a vanity lamp for the front passenger. Rest it gets a similar airbag set up with the same instrument cluster.

    Both Zeta & Alpha variants get height-adjustable driver’s seats along with connected car technology. They also get a sliding front central armrest with 60:40 splitting rear seats. What do you think about the new features?
