5 New Hyundai Cars Launching In 2022

Hyundai is among the people’s favourite in India with the second-highest sales. Their entry-level hatchbacks such as the Santro, Grand i10 & Nios are most sold. Creta has ruled the midsize-SUV segment now, and Venue is also performing well. With this year coming to an end, let’s see what Hyundai has planned for 2022:

1. Hyundai Casper

   

   Casper is the micro-SUV from the Korean carmaker; it is expected to make it to India in 2022. It has already been launched for South Korea, with two engine options. The first would be 1.0L MPI making 67hp and a turbo version making 100hp.

   It will get both manual &automatic variants and a sunroof for the top variants. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with LED lighting is also expected.

2. Hyundai Tucson New-Gen

   

   Tucson has performed well with more than 7-million units sold globally since its launch in 2004. India still has the third-gen running with an update due for long. The fourth-gen update has also been revealed and will arrive in 2022.

   There are significant changes to the design and features, along with a hybrid version to add to their EV lineup.

3. Hyundai IONIQ5

   The IONIQ 5 was revealed globally, based on the E-GMP platform. It has two battery options available along with both RWD & AWD variants. The battery packs available are 58kWh & 72.6 kWh.It would be among the premium EVs and would be imported. It is expected to reach India in late 2022.

4. New MPV- Stargazer

   

   The carmaker is now working on an MPV called the ‘Stargazer’, known as the project ‘KS’. A test mule was spied testing in Indonesia recently in a camouflaged manner.
   It will be similar to the recently launched Kia Carens, with a similar powertrain and pricing but a slight difference in the design.

5. An Affordable EV

   

   Every carmaker is preparing its contender for the EV race. As there are very few affordable EV options, Hyundai announced launching 6 EVs in the next few years. One of them could be an affordable one.It might be an EV version of the already running Venue with pricing and range similar to the Tata Nexon.
