5 New And Upcoming MPVs In India

India has always been more accommodating of comfortable 7 seaters called the MPV’s. These MPV’s are loaded with both premium cabins and powerful engines. Here are 5 such MPV’s that are expected to launch in India in the next couple of years.

  1. Kia Compact MPV

    After the outstanding response received by Kia Carnival, Kia is rumoured to launch a compact MPV for the Indian market. The car will fill the gap between Seltos and Carnival. The MPV is expected to be produced in India and will most probably launch in 2022 with a price tag between 10 Lakhs to 17 Lakhs.

  2. Toyota Ertiga

    Toyota Ertiga The MPV Toyota Ertiga is a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The Ertiga gets changes according to Toyotas baseline for the ASEAN market. It will get a 1.5L petrol engine capable of an output of 103bhp and 138Nm.

  3. Toyota Innova Crysta

    Expected to be launched in India at the end of 2020 or early 2021 the Toyota Innova Crysta the facelifted model will receive cosmetic changes more so than mechanical changes. Feature changes include Apple Car Play and Android Auto support.

    Toyota is working on an MPV along with Suzuki which will be sold in Maruti Suzuki showrooms. Based on the monocoque platform it is expected to be lighter than most MPVs. It is expected to be a 7 seater and will be offered in petrol option and a new hybrid system.

  5. Hyundai Starex

    Starex is already available in foreign countries and is expected to make a debut in India either next year or the year after. The next-gen Starex has been spotted testing in South Korea multiple times. It is expected to be launched in India under the branding of Kia as Hyundai and Kia are sisters companies. It is powered by a 2.2L turbo diesel engine with an output of 197 bhp and 440 Nm torque.
