All-new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupé revealed

For the time the Indian automotive market is deprived of BS6 compliant performance cars. As the deadline for 1at April is closing big giants like Mercedes have started reveling the performance models for their offerings. For committed driving enthusiasts Mercedez-Benz has revealed an all-new AMG 63 Coupé. The new coupé comes with a bump in power and fuel economy.

The new offering from Mercedes gets a sloping roof and rest is similar to the GLE 63 launched last year in November. This AME gets a 4.0-Litre twin-turbo petro V8 engine and a mild-hybrid option is also accessible. The powerful 4.0-Litre engine develops 571hp and 611hp whereas the hybrid powertrain gets an additional motor to assist the engine in acceleration. The motor provides a boost of 22hp and about 250Nm torque when needed.

The new Mercedes has a 9-speed automatic gearbox with merc patent 4Matic+ driving all the four wheels. The AMG is equipped with 6 driving modes with a Race mode standard to only S variant.

The Mercedes GLE 63 AME is capable of going from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds flat, which is amazingly quick and the coupé can touch speeds up to 280km/h.

AMG GLE 63 complements all the AMG design ques over the standard GLE. The adding include a new bespoke grille and larger splitter in the front bumper with minor tweaks. Black and a bigger front air intake give the bold SUV macho and sporty touch.

At the rear, the SUV gets a black treatment for the diffuser and AMG bespoke twin exhaust. A “chrome delete” optional accessories are available giving the chrome parts a blackened finish adding the sporty appeal to the vehicle. Complementing the stance of the vehicle, it comes standard with 22″ alloy wheels. The interior is identical to that of the regular GLE 63 which gets Nappa leather seats, a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, carbon fiber effect trim elements and AMG badging throughout the car.

The expected price is about Rs. 1.15 crore on-road (New-Delhi)
