The used car market in India is one of the most extensive markets in India, with a value of about $32 billion in 2021. It is expected to reach $74 billion by 2027. Nearly 5 million used cars are sold in India every year. Buying a used car has its own pros & cons; let’s look at the best-used cars under 5 lakhs in 2022:

  1. Honda City

    Honda City is one of the trendy choices out of the used cars available in the market. You can get this used car for under ₹5 lakhs with ease. While it has been running on Indian roads for two decades, you can don’t have to go for the initial generations.

    You can get the 2014-2016 models for ₹5 lakhs, which have decent features, comfort, and sedan appeal and reliability. It offers a decent package with both power & efficiency and features.     Etios Cross was one of the crossover cars which did not catch up in India. But despite that, it was a worthy car. You can find one of its petrol versions that make around 68hp & mileage of around 18-20kmpl. You can still get one of these in the used car market; it might be hard to find but can be worth it.

    It was introduced after the Etios & Liva duo with cosmetic upgrades such as the beefy cladding & roof rails. Toyota launched this rugged version of the hatchback in 2014, and then the whole production for the Etios range was shut by 2020 due to BS VI norms.
