While the Brezza with its ZXi Plus AT DT, brings on board a 6-speed torque convertor automatic, while the Astor on the other hand offers an 8-speed CVT transmission. While both gearboxes are great per se, both have their own takeaways, while, the Brezza’s torque convertor automatic offers great diversity on both cities as well as highways returning a high mileage of 19.8 kmpl, while the Astor’s 8 Speed CVT offers a higher number of gear speeds, and great experience provided the vehicle isn’t pushed too hard where it can return a mileage of anywhere between 15 to 17 Kmpl.

When it comes to the meat of the matter, the Brezza runs on the K15 Smart Hybrid 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 103 PS/137NM with Idle Start-Stop, Torque Assist, and Brake Energy Regeneration. The Astor on the other hand runs on a 1.5 liter NA Petrol unit that produces 110 PS/144 NM. While the Astor’s engine is surely a bit punchier, the Brezza on the other hand offers features that take mileage to the next level.

Both the Astor as well as the Brezza are great vehicles when it comes to offerings onboard. The Astor’s Super CVT offers 17-inch alloys, 3.5-inch MID, Dual Tone Interiors, 10.1 Inch HD Touch Infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, follow me headlamps, auto AC, rear Ac vent, power steering with mode adjustment and much more, but misses out on the ADAS features, the Astor is otherwise famous for.

The Brezza ZXi Plus AT DT on the other hand, being the top-end trim of the car, brings in everything the vehicle has to offer including an electronic sunroof, heads-up display, 360-degree cameras, Smart Play Pro+ Infotainment with ARKAMYS sound system, Suzuki Connected Car Tech and much more putting the Astor to shame.

Finally coming to the price, the MG Astor Super CVT commands a price tag of Rs. 13.38 Lakhs Ex-Showroom, while the newly launched 2022 Brezza ZXi Plus AT DT commands a price tag of Rs. 13.96 Lakhs Ex-Showroom. Nonetheless, despite the difference, the Brezza is the perfect pick and stands as one of the best automatic compact SUVs under 14 Lakhs.
