New BS6 Honda Jazz LISTED on the official Website | Launching soon!?!

With all the car manufacturers in India upgrading to new BS6 compliant car Honda is no behind. Honda is ready to launch two of its top-selling cars, namely Jazz and class-leading Honda City. Honda recently teased ‘Jazz’ on India’s official Honda website. Well, due to the novel coronavirus each and every auto manufacturer is shifting towards digital car launch. Honda might opt the same for its upcoming launches.

Honda is discontinuing its BS4 line-up which includes BR-V which shares the platform with Jazz. We assume that Honda might start the BS6 era with its Jazz launching in upcoming days.

Powertrain and Transmission

  • Even though the ‘Honda Jazz’ launch is close the company has not yet disclosed the engine specs. But one can expect the car to get the same engines with some tweaks here and there.
  • A 1.2_litre i-VTEC petrol engine which produces 89bhp of power and about 110Nm of peak torque.
  • Honda also can offer a Diesel option with a 1.5-Litre Turbo diesel engine with 99bhp of power and a massive 200Nm of torque.
  • Both of the engines might be combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CTV- automatic transmission.

Design Cues | Exterior and Interior

Like the older generation of the premium hatchback, the new BS6 Honda jazz can possibly get a minor facelift.

  • A change in the front and rear bumper design with some black accents might increase the sporty appeal of the car.
  • The new Honda Jazz can also come with all-LED headlights on the top trims.
  • Along with that, the Honda will probably come with the connected car tech as the other similar segment cars offer.

Rivals

After the Honda launches its new premium hatchback it’ll likely rival the new upcoming i20 from Hyundai, new Tata Altroz, and upcoming ford Figo. The car is likely to be priced a bit higher than before but will surely be competitive.

Expected Price: ₹ 7.55Lakhs (ex-Showroom)
