  • As was expected, India’s largest OEM, Maruti Suzuki has yet again led the pack with a total sales of 1,21,995 units. However, when it comes to the YoY and MoM growth, things weren’t as good for Maruti as it reported a decline of 10.22% (YoY) and 8.86% (MoM).
  • Following up was Hyundai with sales numbers clocking 44,001 units. But much like Maruti, Hyundai too reported a decline of 10.21% in terms of YoY growth, and 1.34% MoM.
  • On the third number, was Tata Motors which clocked in a total of 41,587 units for April 2022, with a massive 65.72% YoY growth, and a small 1.67% decline in MoM numbers.

  • Next up was Skoda, which sold 5,152 units with a mind-blowing 436% YoY Growth; the highest for any OEM. The YoY growth of the OEM was so good that the MoM decline of 8% seems too low.
