The year started really well for Baleno. It was at the 2nd place in the month of January. Not much below its previous positions, Maruti Suzuki Baleno stands at the third place this time in the car sales report July 2020. Baleno has been one of the most loved premium hatches in the country. Its rebadged version, the Glanza has never been able to compete against it in the terms of sales. Baleno recorded a sale of 11,571 units in July 2020.

The first Hyundai to enter the list of top-selling cars in July 2020 is the latest gen Creta. With an all-new interior and exterior styling, this ‘Ultimate SUV’ has surely impressed the audience and therefore has got a sale of 11,548 units. This is the first car from a brand other than Maruti Suzuki to enter the car sales report in July 2020. You will also find the Grand i10 NIOS down the list. Just read further!

  5. Maruti Swift

The third-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift has been equally successful as the previous-gen models in India. Although the diesel version of the Swift was more popular in the previous-gen models, the discontinuation of the diesel engine might have affected the sales this time. With a petrol-only engine availability, the Swift becomes the last car on the list to cross the 10k mark. Swift sold a total of 10,173 units.

  6. Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The sedan counterpart of the Maruti Suzuki Swift stands on sixth place in the list of top-selling cars for the month of July 2020.  Dzire received a cosmetic upgrade in the recent past and what you see above in the picture is the Maruti Dzire 2020. Maruti Dzire sold a total of 9,046 units in the month of July 2020. Similar to its hatch sibling, the Dzire has also gone petrol only in the BS6 era.

  7. Maruti Ertiga

India’s favourite MPV? Well, the Toyota Innova might have developed a cult status in the MPV market but Ertiga is nowhere behind! With the availability of Maruti’s S-CNG, Ertiga is the most preferred MPV among the fleet owners. Also, the petrol version of this MPV is exceptionally good with the mileage. Moreover, it’s a Maruti Suzuki so maintenance cost isn’t an issue too. All these factors have contributed to bringing Ertiga to the 7th place in our list of top-selling cars in July 2020. Ertiga sold 8,504 units in the last month.

  8. Maruti Eeco

Once again beating most of the modern-day cars with all the updated features, Maruti Eeco has made its way into the top 10 cars sold in July 2020. As said in Ertiga’s case, Eeco also gets company fitted CNG and delivered excellent mileage on petrol too. However, safety takes a toll on this one. Although the new models have got driver airbags, it is not safe to drive this vehicle on highways or at high speeds. Considering most of the people drive it within the city, Eeco clocked a sale of 8,501 units in July 2020.

  9. Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS

Another Hyundai on the list is the Grand i10 NIOS. This super-sporty hatch from the Korean automaker has gained an audience in a short span of time due to the looks and features it boasts! Hyundai is obsessed with the turbo-petrol technology which they have also incorporated in this hatch. The Grand i10 NIOS sold a total of 8,368 units in July 2020.

  10. Kia Seltos

Last but not least! Hyundai Creta’s sibling the Kia Seltos stands at the last place this time. Seltos become the 10th most sold car in India in July 2020 with a sale of 8,270 units. This is a low point for Kia Seltos as it has sold much more than this. We guess Hyundai Creta’s recent popularity has made the Seltos take a hit this time. We are curious to see how Kia Seltos will be back with the sales in August 2020.

These were the top 10 selling cars in July 2020. The car sales report in July 2020 made us witness that only 5 cars were able to cross the 10k sale mark. This is only because of the pandemic that still persists in our country. Things have started getting back to normal but this sales figure isn’t what we expect our industry to gain. We hope for a brighter month ahead! Till then, share this article as much as you can and let people know how many units their favourite car sold in July 2020!
