Car Sales Report October 2019 | Maruti Dominates Again!

The Indian car sales report for the month of October 2019 is out and Maruti Suzuki has once again claimed the first position to be the largest selling car brand in India. October 2019 was a ray of hope for the auto manufacturers across India due to the festive atmosphere. Although all car brands tried their level best to boost up the car sales, Maruti Suzuki evidently managed to dominate the top 10 sales chart this time also!

FYI, 8 out of 10 cars that have gained the highest sale numbers in October 2019 are from Maruti Suzuki’s lineup. So who are the other two who have made it into this list? Read on to find out!

Car Sales Report | October 2019

1. Maruti Suzuki Dzire

   

   Maintaining its top position in the chart from the last month, Dzire is leading the chart once again with a sale of 19,569 units this month. This is the third consecutive month that Dzire has gained the top position in this chart.

2. Maruti Suzuki Swift

   

   Following its sedan counterpart, the Swift has climbed up from its 3rd position last month. Swift’s sales this month have been great and has recorded a sale number of 19,401 units. Last month, Swift bagged the third slot with a sale of 12,934 units.

3. Maruti Suzuki Alto

   

   Alto has also gained hugely in terms of sales this month as compared to September 2019. Despite the gain, Alto could not beat Swift this time. Therefore it has landed at the 3rd position for October’s car sales report with a sale of 17,903 units.

4. Maruti Suzuki Baleno

   

   Baleno has been an all-time favourite premium hatch for Indians. It has been quite long that its rebadged version the Toyota Glanza was launched but it has never made it into this list. Baleno has registered a sale number of 16,237 units this month which clearly shows the trust Indians have on the brand name “Maruti Suzuki”!

5. Hyundai i20

   

   October has been a really competitive month we must say. Unlike last month, only a single car from Hyundai’s lineup has made it into the top 10 list. Hyundai’s i20 has bagged the 5th position this month with a sale of 14,683 units. It’s only because of this fantastic hatch from Hyundai, that people have seen their brand name in the top 10 for October’s car sales report.

6. Maruti Suzuki WagonR

   

   This tallboy is on a roll ever since it was launched. The WagonR has recorded a sale of 14,359 units this month. Though this number is higher than its September sales, still its rank has dropped from the 4th position in September to 6th position this month. The sale has anyhow increased so we can ignore the rank for this evergreen car!

7. Kia Seltos

   

   This one is a surprising entry in the list! No doubt, the Kia Seltos is expensive than all the other cars on the list but it has done exceptionally well from the first day of its launch. The Kia Seltos stands 7th in terms of sales this month with 12,854 units sold. This car has single-handedly made Kia, the fifth largest automaker in India! We can surely realise the success it has gained from these figures.

8. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

   

   October 2019 was the first full month of sales for the S-Presso. This car has been leading the way ahead of its competitor, the Renault Kwid. Recording a sale number of more than 10,000 units in the first month of sales is surely an achievement! The S-Presso is currently the largest selling car in its segment.

9. Maruti Suzuki Brezza

   

   This car has maintained a nearly constant sale number from the last month’s figures. Due to the tough competition this time, Brezza’s rank has dropped from last month’s 6th position to 9th position this time.

10. Maruti Suzuki Eeco

    

    With the all-time high cargo and transportation needs, this vehicle has proved to be of maximum utility for the Indian market. This vehicle is one of its kind and delivers excellent fuel economy and performance for the price it comes at. Being in the list of the top 10 is an achievement for this vehicle and it has done it consecutively for the past 3 months now!
