The geographical location of India is such that many places here witness extreme temperatures. From excruciating heat to frosting cold. But it is the former that can be experienced more. Keeping that in mind, automakers in India, have started incorporating a boon of a feature called ‘ventilated seats’. Well, it was the Hyundai that first brought this lovely feature to India. Now, with time many other carmakers offer the same with various cars in their line-up. So, if ventilated seats are a must-have feature for you, we here have 9 cars in India that offer them and cost less than ₹30 Lakhs.

What are Ventilated Seats?

Before riding straight into the cars, here is what is ventilated seats. This luxury feature was first a part of the portfolio of high-end vehicles. But now, these are a part of many so somewhat affordable cars.

The seats that are ventilated have several small fans underneath the seats that direct the air through small plastic tubes and then through the perforations on the seats. Usually, it is the cabin air that is pumped out through the perforations. A thing to add is that ventilated seats should now be confused with heated or cooled seats as all of them function differently.

Now with that clear, here are 9 cars that offer the luxury of front ventilated/heated seats.

1. Kia Sonet
   

   

   As of now, the cheapest vehicle to offer ventilated seats is the Kia Sonet. Along with that, Sonet also boasts of several features like, ambient lighting, and air purifiers that enhance the overall ownership experience. But a thing to note is that it is the top end trip that gets all the bells and whistles that the company boasts. Nevertheless, the Kia Sonet with several engines and transmission options will surely appeal to many customers.

2. Hyundai Verna
   

   

   The next vehicle or rather the only sedan in its segment to get the seat ventilation feature is the Hyundai Verna. Also, it was the Verna in 2018 when Hyundai decided to incorporate this feature in this sedan. This made the Hyundai Verna the first vehicle in India to get ventilated seats and cost less than ₹20 Lakh. With the mid-life facelift, the new Hyundai Verna still gets this feature with a couple of more additions.

3. Hyundai Creta
   

   

   Another vehicle from the Korean auto giant is the Hyundai Creta. With a ton of features on offer and a wide range of powertrain and drivetrain combinations, Hyundai Creta is the brand’s best selling vehicle in India. Speaking of features, Hyundai Creta also features the luxury of ventilated seats along with another plethora of gizmos. But here is the caveat, only the SX(o) variants boast of all these features. Meaning, you’d have to shed a little (lot) more to get’em all.

4. Kia Seltos
   

   

   If the Hyundai has it, how can the companies other siblings miss it out? Yes, Kia Seltos in India also boasts of the ventilated seat feature. But a thing to note is that it is the Kia Seltos that has more useful features, like a 360-degree camera, mood ambient lighting and also LED Foglamps. These are something that the Hyundai Creta misses out on. But speaking of powertrain and drivetrain, these are common in both cars.

5. MG Hector/Hector Plus
   

   

   The Chinese owned British carmaker, MG updated the Hector and launched the Hector Plus at the beginning of 2021. In this update, the company pampered both the vehicles with subtle cosmetic changes and a couple of addition to the interior. And you guessed it right, ventilated seats are among the feature that was a crucial part of this update. This update brought MG Hector at power with its competition.

Another unique thing about the T-ROC is that it is available in India via the import route. Meaning, the vehicle that we see on the Indian roads is essentially the Euro-spec T-ROC sold in India. Because of the limited source, only one variant with one engine option is available in India. But no worries, the model that comes to India is feature-packed.

8. Hyundai Alcazar
   

   

   Another new vehicle on this list to support ventilated seats is the Hyundai Alcazar. Also, you must be aware of the fact that the Hyundai Alcazar is essentially a longer Hyundai Creta with minor design upgrades and a bigger petrol engine. However, the diesel engine is still a tiny 1.5-litre which should just do the job. Along with front ventilated seats, Alcazar also gets ventilation in the second row of seats. 9. Jeep Compass
   

   

   Moving on to the most expensive vehicle here to get ventilated seats, Jeep Compass. Again, until 2021 Jeep Compass was deprived of a lot of features. But at the beginning of the year, the American carmaker Jeep gave the Compass a mid-life facelift that totally changes the aura of the vehicle. Where the 2020 Compass was robust and rugged from the inside, the new 2021 Jeep compass has become more sophisticated and luxurious. The quality of the interior has seen drastic changes, with soft-touch materials on all the touchpoints. Next, it also received a thorough interior upgrade.
