There are multiple things in a vehicle that drastically change the overall ownership experience of the vehicle. Moving on, one of the important aspects that can easily tell about the effort gone into the manufacturing of the car is the speedometer.

Gone are the days, when the driver saw an all-analogue speedometer. But there are car enthusiasts that do prefer an old school look over the new-age digital speedometer. That said, today, we’ll look at 10 such cars that offer the best of both worlds. These cars come with both an analogue dial and a digital screen for all the information for the driver.     Surprisingly, Maruti Suzuki was one of the first carmakers to introduce a semi-digital instrument cluster in their cars. Speaking of which, Maruti Suzuki Dzire was among the initial cars that came with a semi-digital speedometer. Also, in the new 2021 Swift, a similar speedometer was integrated. This speedo displays detailed information like the instantaneous mileage, average speed, current power and torque and more.

  2. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

    Moving on, the car with one of the best looking speedometer on this list is the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The current model on sale in the domestic market comes with a twin-pod speedometer with blue and white backlighting. Also, in the centre, Ciaz gets a coloured screed that displays a myriad of information.

  3. Honda WR-V

    Another vehicle to get a good looking semi-digital speedometer is the Honda WR-V. Like the other vehicles here this also gets a twin-pod speedo, one for speed and the other is a tachometer. But instead of integrating the monochrome digital display in the centre, it is located onto the right side of the pods. Also, the binnacle that covers the speedo enhances the overall appeal of this device.

    When you’ll sit in the driver seat, you’ll surely be mistaken by the appearance of the speedometer. At the first glance, the new-gen Honda City’s instrument cluster does look as if it is all analogue. But when inspecting a little closer you’ll know that it is actually a semi-digital instrument cluster. This too comes with a twin-pod design and the right one is an analogue gauge. Left to it is a small coloured screed that displays the RPM as well as other important information. PS. The new honda city comes with a G-Force meter.

    Another vehicle to come with a part digital and the part analogue speedometer is the Tata Altroz. This makes the second car from Tata that gets this type of instrument cluster configuration. A little plus about the screen in Tata is that you can see what music are you listening to. Also, This speedometer also shows the navigational directions.

Hyundai has always focused on providing all the latest gadgets and gizmos. Hyundai Creta with a semi-digital speedometer is their latest offerings in the compact SUV segment.

    Next to the Hyundai Creta sits its other cousin from Korea, Kia Seltos. Kia Seltos has been there in the Indian market for about 2 years. And in these two years, the carmaker did what very few companies were able to do. Like Hyundai cars, Kia Seltos also comes with many of the latest gadgets with some of them being first in class. A semi-digital instrument cluster is among those. Kia Seltos was the first compact SUV in its segment to get a partial screen and an analogue RPM readout.

    The first car in Tata’s portfolio to get a semi-digital instrument cluster is the Tata Harrier. Tata gave almost everything into the SUV to make it stand out from the crowd. Well, Tata Altroz and Nexon EV all share the same semi-digital speedometer. Towards the right of the speedo sits an analogue speed readout. And towards the left is an LCD screen that shows a lot of information including directions.

  9. Hyundai Aura

    Koreans really lead the market when it comes to the latest and luxury features. And adding another vehicle to this list that gets a semi-digital speedo is Hyundai Aura. Also, a thing to note is that Aura and Grand i10 Nios both share this instrument cluster. The instrument cluster in both cars has an analogue RPM gauge. And the speed is displayed via a monochrome display.

  10. Kia Sonet

    Well Well well, ending this list of cars having a semi-digital cluster is another compact SUV from Koreans i.e Kia Seltos. This instrument cluster is somewhat look alike to that of the Aura but comes with a coloured displat the same. That said, it gets an analogue tachometer and a digital speedometer.
