What are the most common colours in India when it comes to cars? White, black, red or at max blue. But carmakers have been constantly experimenting and we witnessed some of the most unusual colours we could have expected. So, let’s take a look at 10 such cars that have come with such unusual colour options directly from the factory. Let’s get started.

India’s largest carmaker surely knows how to make a statement when it comes to colour options. One such in their bay is Celerio X, a budget hatchback that offers an orange shade, the Paprika Orange. With black inserts, all-black alloy wheels and the Paprika Orange shade, Celerio X is capable of turning heads, thus an unusual colour.

Thanks to a list on TeamBHP, I was able to find an image of this City. I have seen them on the road a few times. the Emerald Green Pearl colour on the first generation of Honda City was surely a shift from the usual silver colour on sedans at that time.

Thar, a legend, before its new iteration, came in a limited edition silhouette. It is the Mahindra Thar 700 which came in a different colour than the usual red, Aquamarine. This edition is the last to carry this design, after which we have a new bolder, wider and a bit modern Thar.

Zen has been one of the most loved hatchbacks from Maruti, thanks to the ease of use, low engine noise and at the top, being a Maruti offering.  But then, in a whole new generation, Zen was launched with the Estilo badging and the design was not the same. Other than that, we got to see some vibrant colours, one of them being the Purple Fusion.

  5. Daewoo Matiz (Cyprus Green)

This car has been long discontinued in India. Actually, the whole company has long left the chat. But we all remember the dark green Matiz roaming on the roads. It was the Cyprus Green colour that made this hatchback stand apart from the usual white and silver cars on Indian roads.

  6. Tata Nano (Damson Purple)

Damn son! India’s cheapest car of its time, the product of a promise that Ratan Tata made. Nano was indeed a car with such a list of unusual colours, I had a tough time to choose one, and that is Damson Purple. Tata surely did a good job with Nano, although fate took a different course.

  7. Tata Indica e-XETA (Apple Green)

The compact SUV actually led the segment in India. It was offered in a Pearl Beige colour option that resembles the colour of sand. This colour, personally I have not seen anywhere.

And that is all for cars in unusual colours. Some of you might not find anything unusual in these colours, do let us know in the comments section below.
