Hyundai Diesel car engines are more refined than Suzuki… Basically Suzuki makes low cost vehicles, so for them Petrol cars are good. You can save money.

NVH levels have come a long way even in a diesel engine and as far is noise pollution is concerned, the amount of sound deadening material used adds weight (>100kgs) which dents possible FE benefits and not to mention the amount of wasteful resources being used which cannot be used again and ultimately cause more harm than good.

As of 2022, we are seeing a growing reluctance (or prejudice) against Diesel vehicles. And as you pointed out, the fuel price difference does not justify the higher upfront cost of a Diesel vehicle and costlier maintenance. In conclusion, stick to Petrol vehicles till the time India makes a complete transition to Electrci Vehicles.
Diesel cars are double fuel effecient than petrol cars
I am also owning a petrol Ecosport with a turbo engine and even in second gear with air conditioning on, I am able to climb slopes of basement from my car without any trouble. It’s a car that made me a confident driver with it’s great handling on offer. A petrol engine is a just absolutely insane. Diesel engine has its own advantage but my Choice is always a petrol car.
May I ask, is the lifespan of a well.looked after petrol car any less than a diesel
This is very subjective. Given a car is well kept, well-maintained and routinely serviced, It can potentially outlive its owner.
