Rahul Dravid is one of the best Indian cricketers to ever grace the pitch of the gentlemen’s game. Fondly known as ‘the wall’ and ‘Mr Dependable’, he earned these nicknames due to his consistency, patience and perseverance on the pitch. He has endless accolades to his name; being the third-highest run-getter for India in the ODI format, with over 10,000 runs to his name in 344 matches. And today we are here with the list of Rahul Dravid’s car collection. But first a little about him.
He is also one of the greatest, if not the one test cricket players in the world, being the second-highest run-getter for India in tests with a whopping 13288 runs in 164 matches, averaging 52 runs per match; which my cricket nerds know is extraordinary. Besides a player, he also is a great mentor and coached the India team for some time.
Even though he is such a decorated player, he is one of the most down to earth and humble people. He recently got on the Twitter trending list after everybody got to see the wild side of him in the latest ‘CRED’ advertisement(still not sure how they manage to feature so many big personalities), and we thought we might as well give his clout a push by writing an article about him. Porsche 911 Carrera S Dravid in a red Porsche; something we never thought we’ll witness but hey, the world is a crazy place. The former India captain owns a 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S which sits somewhere in between the 911 series. The convertible is powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six churning 400 German horses and 325 lb of torque. It can hit the 100 kmph mark from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 302 kmph.

Mercedes Benz GLE 350
Mercedes Benz GLE 350 Another great car that made its space in Dravid’s garage is a Mercedes Benz GLE 350. He bought the brawny SUV in August 2019. Donning the all-black colour, the has three engine options; The base variant was powered by a 2.1-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine with a power output of 201 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the mid-spec variant used to house a more powerful 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine under the bonnet. It belted an impressive 333 bhp of maximum power output with 480 Nm of peak torque. While the top-end GLE SUV trim was propelled by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. It used to churn out 255 bhp of power output and 620 Nm of peak torque. All three powertrains were offered with a standard 9-speed automatic transmission.
And yes! This is the same car which can be seen in the ‘CRED’ ad.’Indiranagar ka Gunda hun main!’ so adorable.

Audi Q5
Audi Q5 The mid-size Audi Q5 is another SUV the former skipper owns. He owns the previous-gen finished a shade of Blue. It is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TFSI turbo petrol engine producing 252 bhp and 273 lb of torque. We are not sure of the exact trim level(mostly the flagship one) but we are sure of one thing, it totally suits him.

Hyundai Tucson
Hyundai Tucson 2004 I am starting to feel that Dravid has a thing for mid-size SUV’s. He was awarded the Tucson for being the ‘man of the match in 2004. The first-gen Tucson was not a great success due to its price tag and it was way ahead of its time. It was powered by a 2-litre turbocharged CRDI diesel engine and produced 122 bhp.

Toyota Innova Crysta
Toyota Innova Crysta The last slot in Rahul Dravid’s car collection houses a Toyota Innova Crysta. He has been spotted driving the MPV a couple of times due to its practicality. It’s not shocking to see the Innova as it is a part of many celebrities’ car list. The Innova also got a minor facelift recently.
