The on-going has been centred toward the future of electric mobility. Starting from our very own homegrown carmakers like Tata and Mahindra to global giants like Kia, MG and Renault. Many have showcased their power in the electric vehicle segment. From new to future launches here we have listed down the best 5 electric vehicles to look out for at this year’s Auto Expo 2020.

  1. Altroz EV

    The Altroz Ev was first showcased at last year’s Geneva Motor Show and now has finally made it to the Indian shores at this year’s auto expo. The electrified gold standard has become the 3 EV from the company after the Tigor EV and Nexon EV.

    The Altoz EV will be the first hatchback to enter the premium hatchback segment. The Altroz EV will be based on the Tata’s Ziptron electric power train and will support a range of over 250km on a single charge.

  2. Mahindra eKUV100

    Mahindra first showcased the eKUV100 at the 2018 Auto Expo as a pre-production model and now the company has made its mark by launching the ekuv100 at the same event at which it was first unveiled.

    The electric version of the KUV100 is priced at ₹ 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes the eKUV100 the most affordable in India. The eKUV gets its power from a 40 kW electric pushing the power output to 53 bhp with 120 Nm of peak torque. Click here to know more about the eKUV100.

  3. MG Marvel X

    The Chinese-owned British carmaker MG has finally decided to bring in the electric guns. The Marvel X is based on the company’s Vision E concept which was first showcased at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show.

    The first purely electric SUV from the company packs some of the best in class features under its aggressively styled body. If and when launched the MG Marvel X will come powered by a 52.5 kWh battery pack with two electric motors capable of 184 bhp offering a range with over 400km over a single charge.

  4. Renault City K-ZE

    Some of us might be thinking Isn’t this the good old Renault kwid and the answer to our question is ‘YES’. The City K-ZE was first showcased at last year’s Shanghai Motor Show in China. The K-ze is based on the french carmakers CMF-A platform but for now, the electrified kwid is only available for the Chinese.

    Having said that the City K-ZE will come powered by a 33 kW generating a peak torque 120 Nm. The K-ZE will have an estimated range of about 240 km on a single charge.

  5. Kia Soul-EV

    Hyundai’s sister brand Kia is not far from showing what it’s true potential is and has showcased its first EV for the Indian audience in the form of the Kia Soul EV. The premium E-hatchback gets its power from a liquid-cooled lithium-ion polymer 64kWh battery offering an estimated range of 450 km over a single charge.

    Additionally, Kia has also announced to bring in almost 16 electric vehicles in India by 2025, and the Soul EV could very well be on the cards.
