Ford Bronco in Coimbatore – India’s first!
The Ford Bronco spotted in Coimbatore is the first of its kind that India has seen. This SUV was imported from Dubai by one true enthusiast. The 4-door variant of the Bronco is the top-spec trim, with the massive 17-inch wheels wrapped inside truck tires. From the images, it was unclear whether this is a left-hand drive or a right-hand drive vehicle.

Ford Bronco specs
The Bronco is available in trims, the Bronco, and the Bronco Sport. The Sport variant is the less hardcore version of the OG Bronco. It only comes in a 4-door setup and it doesn’t get features like removable doors and a removable roof. It gets two engine options, a 2.3L EcoBoost and a 2.7L V6 EcoBoost. The former makes around 300HP, while the latter makes around 330HP. The smaller engine comes with a 10-speed automatic or a 7-speed manual gearbox. The bigger V6 however, is only available with the 10-speed automatic. Apart from this, the Bronco also comes in a ‘Raptor’ trim. This model gets a 3L, twin-turbo V6 that makes 418HP!

Pricing
The base 2-door model of the Ford Bronco starts from $32,295 (~Rs. 26 Lakhs), while the 4-door model starts at $36,445 (~Rs.29 Lakhs). The top-spec Raptor variant of the Ford Bronco costs $73,780 (~Rs. 59 Lakhs). This American SUV directly competes with the Jeep Wrangler.

Will the Ford Bronco come to India?
The chances of Ford bringing this SUV to India are extremely low. Even if the sales of premium Ford cars start in India, the Bronco probably won’t make it to that list. Cars like these are the sole reason why we miss Ford so much in India. The Bronco would be the perfect alternative for someone buying a Wrangler or even a Defender!
