Ford Bronco- Production Images Out! India bound??

Ford Bronco is the new name under which Ford is planning to launch new SUVs. The Bronco makes its international debut in April 2020. Here we have brought to you the initial production images of the Bronco Sport. This is the smaller one of the two rugged retro SUV that Ford is planning to launch later this year.

Ford teased the Bronco SUV days back and for those wondering this one to be a new product in the automaker’s lineup, read this carefully. Ford Bronco was an iconic off-roader by FOrd that was sold from 1966 to 1996! After almost 22 years of discontinuation, Ford has decided to bring back the off-roaders. The Bronco sport is the smaller one and we are yet to experience the bigger one which will be based on the Ford Endeavour.

The Ford Bronco Sport shares the platform with the Escape and therefore, is likely to be powered by the same 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine or a 2.0-litre 259bhp engine belonging to the same family! The off-roader SUV gets a fresh new bodyshell with multiple cuts and creases and blacked-out bits. The front grille gets a massive Bronco badging with LED headlamps on the sides.

The front of the Ford Bronco has got circular LED DRLs with strip indicators that have been integrated into the grille. The side profile has got a major highlight where the last bit of the glass is placed a bit higher from the C-Pillar and we can expect this on the bigger variant as well. Apart from this, we see gunmetal alloys and aux brushed aluminium finish on the roof rails. The rear gets a wide glass and vertical taillights.

Though Ford is not looking into launching the Bronco in India, we can expect them to bring this off-roader here if it does good in the international market. For now, Ford has already launched the BS6 compliant Endeavour here in India and working on an XUV-500 rival.
