Chinese automobile brand, Great Wall Motor will soon be showcasing its Haval range of SUVs in the Auto Expo 2020. The unexpected success of MG in the country with the Hector has shown various automobile brands the potential Indian market has for the SUV segment of cars.

The company has to sub-brands namely Haval and WEY. While Haval is the SUV brand for the Wall, WEY is the premium segment offering brand. The Haval brand has sold over 3 lakh SUVs in the past 3 years which is a really good number for SUVs. The brand plans to enter Europe in 2021 and North America in 2023.

Haval brand has a global presence with sales numbers really good. It is present in countries such as Egypt, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Italy, Russia, Ireland, New Zealand, Colombia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Haval has also been actively participating in Dakar rally championships with the Haval 8.

- The global range of Haval includes Haval H1, Haval H2, Haval H2s, Haval H4, Haval H5, Haval H6/Haval H6 Sport, Haval H6 Coupe, Haval H7/Haval H7L, Haval H8, Haval H9, Haval M6, Haval F5, Haval F7 and also the H9.
- The entry-level H1 SUV is priced nearly ₹8.8lacs while the top model, H9 which is a full-size SUV which is priced around ₹24lacs.
- Currently, Haval range of SUVs is manufactured at Baoding and Tianjin. They are also assembled in Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Bulgaria etc.

In India, the corporate office of Great Wall Motor will be set up Gurugram and the manufacturing facility will be set up in Maharashtra.
Indian markets can expect Haval H2 SUV, H6 mid-size SUV and H9 SUV to launch soon. H2 will be rivalling against Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. H6 will be competing against Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector and Tata Harrier. H9 will rival against the likes of Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas and Toyota Fortuner in India.
