Just to make things clear Honda has already been selling the City based sedan on its home turf China since 2016 called the Gienia. However, unlike the gienia the all-new Honda city-based hatchback looks more like the sedan but with a coupe rear end.

The new city-based hatchback speaks for itself with its sharp character lines which completely blends in with its aggressively styled body. talking about the rear end the Honda-city based hatchback has its tail-lights placed horizontally which states that the hatchback has picked-up some its features form the Mercedes-Benz A-class hot-hatch.

Talking about the Inside, the company can feature the specs as of its ultra-luxurious sedan cousin. Although there can be some differences in different variants which will eventually depend upon the market and the consumer’s needs.

Coming to the technical part, we can expect the city sedan based hatchback to get its power from either a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-litre petrol with Honda’s e-HEV mild-hybrid engine.

If we believe in the recent media reports this new Honda-city based hatchback could act as a potential replacement of the Honda Jazz for some markets. However, for its Indian consumers, Honda is all set to bring out the facelift version of the Honda Jass which will support a BS6 compliant engine in the coming months.
