Hyundai Grand i10 CNG & Xcent CNG Recalled Due To CNG Filter Issue

Hyundai Motors India has issued a recall notice for a total of 16,409 units of the Hyundai Grand i10 CNG and the Hyundai Xcent CNG manufactured between August 1, 2017, to September 30, 2019. As per the official issue, the non-ABS and the CNG variants of the car.

Hyundai is reaching out to the respective owners of the cars involved in this recall and the procedure will start from 25th November 2019.

Hyundai will be replacing the faulty CNG Filter for the Grand i10 CNG and Xcent free of cost which will approximately take an hour.

The Grand i10 and Xcent use the same 1.2-litre petrol + CNG (dual fuel) BS4 compliant engine that produces 66.2 hp and 99Nm of max torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Grand i10 CNG delivers a fuel economy of 26.88 km/kg while on the Xcent returns a mileage of 26.11 km/kg.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is currently priced in the range of Rs 5.79 lakh to Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the Hyundai Xcent is priced between Rs 5.81 lakh to Rs 8.79 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
