A test mule of Hyundai Tucson was spotted in India in the city of Hyderabad. After last being spotted in South Korea, the next-gen Tucson is expected to launch in India in 2021. Even with heavy camouflage, some features were still visible.

- The grille covers most of the front and is complimented with thin Daytime Running Lights assembled such a way that gives it a bold look.
- The proportions appear similar to the third-Gen Hyundai Tucson.
- The wheels in Hyundai Tucson to get new alloys giving them a more sturdy look.
- The emblem is in the middle of the front grille which also houses a forward sensor.
- It also appears to have roof rails.
With the rear not camouflaged this time around it is possible to make out some of the details.
- A dual-tone bumper with twin exhaust tips is visible.
- Outer Rear View Mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
- A black B pillar and roof rails.

What’s under the hood?
- The engine is expected to be the same as the current Hyundai Tucson.
- Powered by a 2.0 Litre turbocharged engine Hyundai Tucson can output 152.88bhp with a torque of 192 Nm.
- While the same diesel variant can output 182.46 bhp and a torque of 400 Nm
- The current Tucson can reach from 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds this might change with the fourth-gen.
- The new engines will be BS6 due to emission norms coming into effect from April 2020 and the vehicle will be launched in 2021.
- The car currently can reach a top speed of 201 km/h.
- Transmission options available will be a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

The Hyundai Tucson is a rival to the likes of Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier and MG Hector and with these changes, it will have a better chance to challenge its rivals.
