Clearly, it is the Mahindra XUV700 that has an upper hand when it comes to the engine. However, talking about the diesel engine, both are almost neck and neck. The Hyundai takes away in terms of power and Mahindra XUV700 comes back at the Hyundai with better torque figures. But Mahindra just smashes the figures as the XUV700 gets a turbo petrol engine whereas Hyundai sticks to a naturally aspirated petrol.

Which one to choose?
Well, both cars are good in their own specific way. But if the budget is a concern clearly Mahindra pose a better value proposition. If it is reliability that you are after and want the Hyundai trademark CRDi diesel, Tuscon at the price is a good buy.
