Hyundai first entry in the compact SUV segment with the Venue in 2019 and since its launch the car has been doing really well considering the past fall which took over the domestic market last year.
As of now, the Hyundai Venue is offered in two petrol and 1 diesel variant and with the introduction of the BS6 variant, Hyundai has silently upgraded the existing 1.4-litre diesel unit with an all-new BS6 compliant 1.5-litre U2 CRDi unit which made its debut with the unit with BS6 ready 1.5-litre U2 CRDi engine. It is the same engine as seen on and also features in the all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta.

Talking about the power the all-new 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel unit on the Hyundai Venue BS6 is capable of generating 98hp at 4000 rpm along with 240 Nm of peak torque between 1500 to 2750 rpm and comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox which comes standard. Additionally, the new BS6 compliant version also supports 1.2-litre Kappa and 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo GDI units as well.
The new 1.5-litre was also seen in the all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta which was launched recently and will also be offered in the upcoming next-gen Hyundai i20 and the Kia Sonet. Apart from the engine upgrade and the other features remain the same.
