Jawa Yezdi Showroom First Look !

While we eagerly await the unveiling of the Yezdi motorcycles, some background work is going on that we couldn’t help but notice. Apparently, all Jawa showrooms are being converted into Jawa Yezdi showrooms, and here is the first look as shown in the image below.

The Mahindra-owned parent company, Classic Legends, owns three companies: Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA (talk about nostalgia). As of now, BSA does not have any plans to introduce its bikes in India, although it has recently released one model in global markets, which is the BSA Goldstar. While Jawa is having a satisfactory run in the market here in India, it will be accompanied by Yezdi from today, and hopefully, it will change the tide.

So until BSA decides to join the party, all Jawa showrooms will sell Yezdi motorcycles as well, and you will be getting all the six bikes under one roof.

We know that Yezdi will be unveiling more than one model, and we recently reported about both of them here. There might be more good news as there are rumours that Yezdi might be launching a cruiser along with the scrambler and the ADV that were spotted testing. We have to wait for just a few more hours to confirm this, but it is tough to wait especially when it is almost here.

Yezdi will be launching the Roadking Scrambler and the Adventure variants with the same engine that will be borrowed from the Jawa Perak. This means they will be powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 30hp and 32Nm of torque, and this will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Yezdi bikes might get a slip and assist clutch.

The Jawa motorcycles will also be on sale in the same showroom as mentioned before, and it wouldn’t take a miracle to guess that the service centres will also be shared. Jawa pulled the right cord with the updated Jawa 42 2.0, but before its excitement could last long, Royal Enfield came back with a bang under the guise of the 2021 Classic 350, which is so much better than its previous models.

This here in the image above is the arch-rival of almost all the bikes in the Jawa Yezdi showrooms, and with the recent updates, it will only make it tougher on the new bikes. Although the Yezdi Roadking will take on the form of a scrambler, it will be priced similar to that of the Classic 350, and this is what I like to call cut-throat competition.

Let us know what you think about the Jawa Yezdi showroom first look and what are your expectations from the soon to be launched Yezdi motorcycles.
