The American automaker, Jeep is all ready to upgrade its Compass offering to adhere to the BS6 emission norms. A facelift version has also been spied being tested in Chennai. The SUV spied had a lot of camouflage but it was still visible that the new SUV will have major design upgrades.

Jeep Compass Facelift | Price and Rivals
The new SUV is expected to be priced at a bit higher than the current variant. Current Jeep Compass is priced between ₹15 lakhs to ₹21 lakhs. This aggressive pricing puts the SUV against the Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Seltos and Honda CR-V. The facelift will surely put Compass ahead of some of the rival models.
Jeep Compass Facelift | Engine Specifications
The premium SUV facelift can be expected to come with the same BS6-compliant 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine. The petrol variant churns out 163HP of power whereas the diesel variant gives out 173HP. The engines are expected to be mated with 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) for petrol engine and a 9-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel engine.
Jeep Compass Facelift | Interior/Exterior
Due to high camouflage, much was not visible about the exteriors of the Compass. But there were some changes visible in the front grille, headlights and bumper. The interiors were also not visible to a larger extent. It can be expected that Jeep will surely upgrade the interiors with better quality material and few more tweaks here and there.
Jeep Compass Facelift | Safety Features
The current version of Compass already comes loaded with safety features such as ABS, ESP, airbags, hill start assist and the list goes on. The facelift can only be expected to have more than what current version has to offer.
The SUV has already been competing in the Indian market and the facelift will only add to the bling.
