As all the carmakers across the globe are slowly shifting to battery electric vehicles, so is Jeep. Recently the Stallantis-owned carmaker Jeep unveiled its vehicle, which may be called the Jeepster. Although the name Jeepseter was associated with the special edition of Jeep Renegade, we expect the new vehicle to be named after this. The new compact SUV from Jeep looks promising. But will this be launched in India? What will power the Jeepster? Well, let’s answer all the questions here.

  1. What will power the new Jeep Jeepster?

    As a part of the move to electric mobility, it is speculated that the new Jeep Jeepster will feature a couple of powertrains. These include a mild hybrid that comes with a petrol engine and a combination of battery and a motor. The other is expected to be an all-electric powertrain.

    Also, we anticipate that this new SUV might come with an FWD (Front Wheel Drive) Configuration as standard with high. However, we might also see an eAWD set up to be available as an option. The new Jeep could be closely similar to cars from related manufacturers, including the Peugeot e-2008 and Citroen e-C4, as it may feature on one of Stellantis’ new STLA platforms, most likely the smallest one.

    Although there are no plans for this car to come to India, if it ever comes, it is said to rival the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and others. Additionally, as it will be a mild hybrid, we can anticipate it to be a little pricy and many starts from Rs.10 Lakh (ex-showroom)
