Kia Motors India is planning to launch the Kia Carnival in India at an attractive price that could be around ₹30 lakhs onwards. However, the MPV will be offered in three seating configurations including a 6, 7, and the 8-seater variants. We are eagerly expecting to see a full-embodied version of the MPV at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Kia Carnival is already available on international platforms as Sedona. Internationally, it is being offered in the 7, 8, and 11-seater arrangements.

The India-bound MPV will come with a BSVI-compliant 2.2L 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine capable of pushing the power to 202hp and torque of 441Nm. The engine mates with a 6-speed auto transmission system. It is uncertain whether Kia will introduce the manual variant.
The dimensions on the Kia Carnival will be 5115mm x 1985mm x 1740mm (LxWxH) with a 3060mm wheelbase. Thus making it longer than the Toyota Innova Crysta by almost 135mm.
Kia is also aiming to establish itself as a premium brand for the Indian audience. with not looking to push the numbers in India Kia could be planning to target the high net-worth clientele.

Kia will assemble the Carnival be at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The six and seven-seater variants will compete with the Toyota Innova Crysta, and the premium 6-seater version will sway away customers from Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Toyota Vellfire.
