Korean auto major Hyundai’s sister brand Kia has done it again as the company’s first-ever product launch for the domestic market the Seltos has become the best selling compact SUV in March 2020 for the third time in a row.
Kia has managed to sell over 7,000 units of the Seltos compact SUV in March 2020. However, the company has also registered a steep 47 percent drop in the overall sales if compared to 14,024 units sold in India in February 2020 which might have been caused due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak which has lead to a country-wide lockdown.

With that said not only Kia but this lockdown has eventually affected other carmakers as well and will cont. its rage after the lockdown as well.
Coming to its Chinese counter-part MG sold only 1,402 units of the Hector SUV in the month of March 2020. Kia Seltos made its debut in August 2019 and since its launch, it has been a loved by many. The Seltos comes powered by a 1.5-litre petrol unit capable of generating 115bhp with 114Nm of peak torque which comes paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic unit and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine which comes with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCT unit pushing the maximum power output to 140bhp with 242Nm of peak torque.
