Kia Seltos becomes the highest selling car of February 2020

sHyundai’s sister brand Kia has been doing extraordinary since it made its debut in the domestic automobile sector with the Seltos compact SUV. Since its launch, the Kia Seltos has been doing really well and did manage to sell over 15,000 units last month was awarded the best selling SUV of the month and who knew that hell of a car would again be crowned the King of SUVs once again.

Last month Kia has managed to sell over 14,000 units of the Seltos henceforth making it the best selling SUV of India in the month of February 2020. The second and third position has been taken over by the Mahindra Scorpio and the MG Hector with 1,505 units and 12,18 units sold respectively.

• The Seltos made its debut in the domestic market in August 2019 and was one of the first company’s to update their engines as per the BS6 emission norms.
• As of now, the Seltos is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine which comes paired to either a six-speed manual transmission, a CVT or a seven-speed DCT unit.
• The 1.5-litre petrol engine is capable of generating 115hp with 114Nm of peak torque while the 1.5-litre diesel engine and the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine making 155hp/ 250Nm of torque and 140hp/242Nm of torque respectively.
• The Seltos SUV is not only rich on power but features too and holds a premium look with modern styling elements which has eventually helped Kia in gaining a strong consumer base.
