Kia Motors has finally launched the special edition of the Kia Seltos called the “Nightfall Edition” in the USA. The Seltos that is available in the US market is quite different from what we get in the domestic Indian market. The USA spec Seltos also gets an All-Wheel-Drive system, Automatic Emergency Braking and better safety ratings.
The Nightfall Edition replaced the S AWD variant in the USA Seltos lineup and is positioned just below the SX AWD model. The Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition is priced at $27,865 which is approximately ₹20 Lakhs as per the current exchange rate.
Featured & Upgrades
The 2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition gets very subtle changes on the exterior with more of a dark theme, blacked-out radiator grille, side sills and black roof rails. The special edition Seltos also gets 18-inch matte black alloy wheels as an addition.
Other special features on the Nightfall Edition includes an all-black interior with a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Kia’s UVO Connect Connected Car Technology. Same as on Indian Kia cars, the 2022 Nightfall Edition also gets the updated Kia Logo.
New Safety Features
The special edition of the Kia Seltos is equipped with some high-end safety features like Forward Collision-Avoidance System, Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane, Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, Rear Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Engine Specifications
The 2021 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition makes with the same engine options; a 2.0L naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 146BHP and 179NM and 1.6L turbocharged petrol with 175BHP and 264NM of peak torque.
The 2.0L petrol engine is mated to a CVT automatic gearbox and the 1.6L is equipped with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
