The Kia Seltos compact SUV made its debut in August 2019 and since its launch, it has gone to become the most popular SUV in the domestic market and has been a chart tipper for the third time in a row.
Much recently the South Korean car manufacturer has announced that they achieved a cumulative sales number of the Seltos compact SUV at 81,784 units since its launch in the country till the end of March 2020.
Currently, the Seltos comes at a starting price of Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes upto Rs 17.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Seltos compact SUV actively rivals the likes of the 2020 Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and the Mahindra XUV500.
As of now, the Kia Seltos is available in two trims- Tech Line and GT Line which are formally divided into 10 more variants. under its hood, the Selros compact SUV is offered with three engine options-
- 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol unit (138hp with 242 Nm of torque)
- 1.5-litre petrol Naturally aspirated petrol unit (113 hp with 144Nm of torque)
- 1.5-litre VGT diesel unit ( 113hp with 250Nm of torque)
All three BS6 compliant engine units come paired to either standard 6-speed manual gearbox, a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed AT.
On the outside, the Kia Seltos also has a lot to offer and looks pretty aggressive with its symbolic tiger-nose front grille and other features such as LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED taillights and dual exhaust.
Coming to the inside, we get a first in segment 8-inch HUD (Heads Up Display), 8-speaker Bose sound system,10.25-inch touchscreen AVN system, ventilated and power seats, multifunction steering wheel, eco coating, smart pure air and ambient mood lighting.
