If compared to the Indian spec, The Seltos does not feature a seatbelt alert function, dual front airbags, rear disc brakes ( only in diesel variants) and rear parking assist as a standard. The top-spec Indian variant supports additional features like a rearview camera with monitor, side and curtain airbags, blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera.

These equipments have helped the Seltos score 85 percent for adult occupancy, 83 percent for child occupancy, 61 percent for Vulnerable Road User Protection and a 70 percent for the safety assist features. All these features help in improving its Vulnerable Road User Protection and Safety Assist score by 7 percent and 8 percent, respectively.

The Seltos has already become the highest-selling model in the compact SUV segment surpassing the Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Since its launch, the Seltos has propelled Kia to become the fourth-largest selling carmaker in India.

The Seltos is currently priced between ₹ 9.69 -16.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and even the MG Hector and Tata Harrier. However, we can surely expect the Kia Seltos to get a price hike by 2020.
