Planning on buying the Kia Seltos? Now you don’t have to wait for long. Kia Motors India has reduced the waiting period for the Seltos to just 15 days, thanks to increased production capacity at Kia India’s production facility at Penukonda, Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
Kia Motors India, given the high demand for the Seltos, extended the delivery period for the SUV to five months. However, Kia has now managed to bring down the waiting period to a mere 15 days, which will bring rejoice to its current and potential customers.
The Kia Seltos was launched in India on 22nd August 2019. The Seltos was a runaway success since the day of its launch garnering more than 40,000 bookings in the month of October 2019 and selling 40,581 units over a span of 4 months.
The Kia Seltos has proved to be a great competition to the already existing Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Mahindra XUV300 and the Renault Captur.
Kia Seltos Trims and Variants
The Kia Seltos is available in 2 trims levels; Tech Line and GT Line which each offers five variants withing the trims viz. E, K, K+, X, and X+.
The Kia Seltos in the Tech Line gets a premium appearance with a beige and black cabin with leather upholstery. The GT Line gets a sportier look with an all-black cabin, sportier bumper, black leather seats with red contrast dual-tone stitching. The Seltos SUV is available in eight monotones and five dual-tone colour options.
Kia Seltos Engine
Kia Seltos comes with 2 BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) compliant petrol and diesel engines; a 1.4-litre Turbocharged GDI petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic transmission that produces 138 bhp and 242 Nm of peak torque. and a 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual and an IVT (Intelligent continuously variable transmission) automatic transmission that makes 113 bhp and 144 Nm of peak torque.
Kia Seltos Features
The Kia Seltos SUV gets the iconic tiger-nose grille with full LED headlights and LED fog lamps. On the rear, the car will be equipped with LED taillights and faux dual exhaust pipes.
More in the feature list are 17-inch five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels which look tasteful. Inside, the new Kia Seltos features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Kia Seltos SUV also gets features like 8-inch HUD (Heads Up Display), blind-spot view monitor, EPS (Electronic Power Steering), three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and push-button start/stop.
