Kia Motors India have played it really well as just days before the Auto Expo 2020 they have officially revealed the sketches of its upcoming subcompact SUV the Kia Sonet (Codenamed- Kia QYI). The company has also claimed that the Sonet will boast a much bolder and dynamic design embedded with Kia’s power.

- Under its hood, the all-new Sonet will feature the same engine and platform as of the Hyundai Venue. We can surely expect the Sub 4-meter SUV to be offered with 3 engine options a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, a1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
- The upcoming subcompact lineup could be offered with 4 gearbox options including- a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT automatic and a CVT automatic transmission.
- On the Inside, The Kia Sonet might share some resemblance to its cousin the Kia Seltos and the competitor the Hyundai Venue. We can also expect the Sonet to feature the UVO services and the AI command.
- Additional features on the SUV might include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless phone charger, sunroof and ventilated seats might also add gems on this beauty.
- On the outside, the Kia Sonet might also feature the company’s iconic Tigerstyle nose grille with integrated ice-cube styled fog lamps and 16-inch wheels and 215/60 R16 Apollo tyres.
- In the Subcompact SUV segment, the Kia Sonet will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the Tata Nexon.
