In a recent teaser released by Kia Motors India on their official Instagram handle, they are pointing towards a new car that will finally extend Kia’s India lineup after a huge gap. As the sale numbers suggest, Seltos and Sonet are the only ones that have been able to build Kia’s hype in India. Although Carnival does exist, it doesn’t sell much obviously because of the price factor. Now that Kia has teased the Seltos X-Line, here is what we expect from the new face of the already existing compact SUV in India!
For now, we can see only the headlight design which also points towards a 7-seater version of the Kia Seltos as the design looks straight and wide. Considering the fact that the 7-seater market is on fire as of now, Kia can consider bringing in their version of 7-seater Seltos. Another possibility (the prominent one) is that they will bring in the Seltos X-Line which was already showcased in the last Indian Auto Expo.
Kia Seltos X-Line | Expectations
We expect the X-Line to arrive before the 7-seater and the exterior design consists of matte grey paint-job, orange inserts for the front and rear bumper, blacked-out grille, alloy wheels, bumper inserts, body cladding, spoiler, roof rails, and the ‘Seltos’ lettering on the hood and boot-lid.
Apart from this, we can see an all-black interior with red stitching in the upholstery. Features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a leather-wrapped, multi-function, flat-bottom steering wheel, HUD, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, and a sunroof.
Talking about what’s under the hood, we expect the Seltos X-Line to arrive with both petrol and diesel options. The petrol will be a 1.4-litre turbo and the diesel will be a 1.5-litre machine. Both of them are expected to come paired with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed auto and ofcourse the party piece, the 7-DCT.
