The Volkswagen Group recently unveiled their two brand new compact SUVs- Skoda Kushaq and the VW Taigun. Both these cars have retained most of the design from their concept versions. With these 2 cars, the VW group has heavily localized the production in India. While both the Taigun and the Kushaq look similar on the surface, let’s take a closer look to stop the subtle differences.

  1. Exterior

On the front, the 2 cars are quite different. The Kushaq has a more sleek and classy look with the Butterfly Grill and the LED lights. The Taigun on the other hand gets a bold, SUV style look with the square shaped LED lamps. One might also notice the heavy usage of chrome on the Taigun. On the side, both look extremely similar. The only recognizable difference is in the 17 inch wheels. The Kushaq gets a much better and unique design on the wheels as compared to the Taigun. The rear-end is where the Taiguns wins over the Kushaq. The Kushaq’s L shaped LED lights do look good, but the connected tail-lights on the Taigun looks much better and modern. Overall, we can say that the Skoda Kushaq maintains Skoda’s elegant and classy design language. Whereas, the Taigun looks a bit bolder and sportier.
