Upcoming Luxury Cars Launching In 2023!

Luxury car launches are never as loud and as largely marketed as some of the more affordable cars. But this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be aware of what’s new in the Rs. 50+ Lakhs segment, right? Well, here’s a list of upcoming luxury cars launching in 2023!

1. BMW X7

Starting out with Germans, the BMW X7 is the first name on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023. The facelift was launched in foreign markets earlier this year and it will be coming to India in the following year. Major changes lie on the exterior, where BMW has adapted to a fresh look for the kidney grille. On the inside, the dash features a twin-screen now, just like Mercedes cars. Engine options are likely to remain the same. However, a new, performance-oriented, M60i variant will be added.

2. BMW X1

The next BMW on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023 is the BMW X1. It is one of the best-looking cars in the segment, especially after the 2017 update. With 2023, BMW is aligning the X1 with its new design language, and it will be more in line with the 2023 X7. Some changes are also expected in the infotainment unit, but they will be quite minor. The engine options are also likely to remain the same (2L petrol/diesel).

3. BMW 3 Series

One of the hottest cars on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023 is the BMW 3 Series. Yes, it is not a supercar, but it looks striking and super aggressive. It is hands down the best driver in the segment, especially the petrol variants. With the new update, here too, not much is changing. A fresh grille and a new layout for the dashboard are expected. Sadly enough, the powerful 6-cylinder petrol engine will probably not be included in the lineup for India.

4. Mercedes Benz GLC

The first Mercedes on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023 is the GLC. It is a direct competitor to the BMW X1 and is one of the best-selling cars in this segment. As with all Mercs, the GLC is super comfortable and is the best choice for someone looking to spend some time in the back seat. A few design changes are expected on the outside and the inside as well. In terms of technical changes, a mild-hybrid variant is ready to join the GLC lineup.

5. Mercedes Benz AMG E53 Cabriolet

One of the top performers on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023 is the E53 Cabriolet. This is the first time Mercedes will launch this car in India. Though the audience for these kinds of cars (convertible supercars) is very limited, this is a great addition. The 3L V6 Hybrid engine on this one produces a massive 429HP and 520nm!

6. Lamborghini Urus S and Urus Performante

The only exotic name on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023! The Urus, in a very short time, has become the best-selling Lamborghini car ever. It is in very high demand and the waiting periods are crazy. Well, it should be, it is one of the fastest SUVs in the world. Considering the demand for the Urus in India, Lamborghini is all geared up to launch the ‘S’ and the ‘Performante’ variants of this super SUV. The 4L, V8 twin-turbo engine here produces 666HP, which is 16HP more than the regular Urus. In a world of silently humming EVs, the Urus is a true racer!

7. Mercedes Benz EQS SUV

Speaking of silently humming, let’s take a look at the EVs on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023. Starting with the EQS, it is likely to launch early next year. It sits on the same platform as the EQS sedan. While the numbers aren’t revealed, the battery and range are expected to be the same (or slightly less) than the EQS sedan. This will be a 5-seater, as opposed to the GLS which is a 7-seater.

8. Audi Q8 e-tron

The Audi Q8 is the next EV on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023. It is a direct competitor to the BMW X7 and the Mercedes GLS, however, it looks very different. Fun fact, the Audi Q8 sits on the same platform as the Lamborghini Urus! Anyway, the EV version of the Q8 is ready to roll, and it will be called the Q8 e-tron. This eSUV is expected to come with 2 battery options, a 95kWh, and a 115kWh. Needless to say, with batteries of this size, the range should not be an issue.

9. Volvo C40 Recharge

The last name on this list of luxury cars launching in 2023 is the Volvo C40 Recharge. The C40 is the Coupe SUV version of the XC40, which is a compact SUV. The XC40 has already launched in India and is a fairly decent EV. It will feature the same 78kWh battery as the XC40 recharge, with a slightly improved range.
