But now, India has become one of the top markets but above that, the manufacturer’s favourite. Be it the lower labour costs, abundant availability of raw material or space, India has been home to many manufacturing plants. And Nissan has also announced that the ones made in their Chennai plant will be exported to their Global markets, ensuring the global standards here in India.

This German carmaker surely loves the Indian market as it is going to launch a car soon, fully developed in India for India.

  1. It is great to know that India is exporting so many models, specially the Tata harrier. Tata’s acquisition of JLR some years back has certainly helped boost its R&D capabilities and given it a new standing in this sector.

    It is unfortunate that I don’t see any of Mahindra’s models in this list. I remember way back in the early 2000’s seeing a consignment of Bolero’s being unloaded in Piraeus, Greece. At the time I was sailing as a Ch.Engineer with Mitsui’s car carrier fleet. I hope that M&M rectify the situation soon. While it is true that M&M has locked horns with FCA in the US regarding the Roxor, but I had hoped that it would not affect its exports to other countries
