Best Selling Mahindra Cars In India | Mahindra Car Sales September 2022

The Indian carmaker Mahindra is on its feet and is going towards progress. Well, it’s the first beginning of a new month. This means the time to reflect on the car sales for September 2022. The SUV manufacturer with its recent new product launches and upgraded products, the company recorded the highest-ever sales last month.

The Indian automotive giant, Mahindra has its legs, both in the passenger vehicle segment as well as the commercial vehicle segment. So, let’s start with the sales of passenger vehicles.

Passenger Cars Sales

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. sold a total of 34,508 units of passenger cars in September 2022 versus 13,134 units in the same month last year. The company also registered a growth of 163% last month.

It’s good news when we compare the Year-To-Date figures (YTD). As of September 2022, Mahindra sold a total of 168,723 units over the last year’s figures which stand at 93,355 units. The total percentage chance in 2022 was about 81%.

Also, Mahindra has recently launched a bunch of new cars that are attracting a whole lot of customers. Among the best-selling cars from the company’s portfolio, including Scorpio, Bolero, Thar, XUV700, and others.

The sales figures were boosted by the sales of Sports Utility Vehicle. However the other Cars+Vans segment the company registered a decline in sales in September 2022. Last month Mahindra sold a total of 246 units of vehicles in this category which is lower from 217units registered last year in September. However, the YTD still remain on the rise as compared to September 2021, the company sold 1,671 units of vehicles from this segment versus 1,339units last year.

In the commercial vehicle space too, the company registered significant growth. Compared to last year, the light commercial vehicle <2T category witnessed the highest growth. 4,452 units of LCV in this category were sold in versus 1,525units last year.

Next are the LCVs 2T-3.5T segment. This registered a positive percentage change of about 126% in September 2022 compared to September 2021. 16,413 units of vehicles in this category were sold last month over 7,529 in September last year.

The next segment that registered significant growth is the three-wheeler segment which also includes the sale of electric three-wheelers. 5,774 units of three-wheelers were sold in September 2022, 94% over last year in the same month.

LCV >3.5T + MHCV registered a growth of 17%, the lowest among the other segments. That said, last month the company sold a total of 801 units of vehicles in this segment versus 684units last year in the same month.

The Indian carmaker Mahindra is indeed gaining a lot of attention and sales lately, courtesy of its new product launches and pricing strategy. Because of this, the company has not only witnessed growth in the year of year sales but also in the month on monthly sales.

For instance, in 2022 September the company sold a total of 34,508 units of Sports utility vehicles. The number is 15% higher when compared to August 2022. Considering the year-on-year sales, Mahindra in the passenger car segment occupies 9.72% of the market share. Also, in the Month on Month sales, it is responsible for 9.09% of the market share.
